Based on the belief that you can never have too many good ideas toward meeting the needs of your customers, AMARC attended this year's Natural Products Expo, held March 5-8 in Anaheim, CA. Our main goal was to educate ourselves - through attending informative presentations and talking face-to-face with manufacturers and distributors, as well as gathering printed materials - on some of the newest natural products (supplements, foods, etc) and the research being done on how these can support people seeking optimal health. A second goal was to form new partnerships and relationships toward the sharing of ideas, best practices, industry trends and practical solutions on how to collectively meet the needs of our customers, both in product offerings and wellness education. The show was spectacular - with an attendance of over 53,000 and featuring more than 1,900 exhibiting companies from 28 countries (with 482 new exhibitors this year). We watch it grow more and more with each year we attend. In times economic woes and a deficient healthcare system, it seems that health and wellness continue to be in the forefront of many people's minds. Natural foods and supplements are a great way to achieve optimal health goals, along with other lifestyle choices such as exercise and mental/spiritual well-being. AMARC will continue to inform ourselves on the latest news and research, and pass that information on to you in the form of high-quality products, articles, email blasts, and in our approaches to customer education and service. If you have questions or would like further information, please give us a call at 1-866-POLY-MVA (1-866-765-9682). |

| Many Americans Fall Short on Their Vitamin D |
Over the course of two decades, vitamin D levels have dramatically decreased among Americans, a new study finds. Low levels of vitamin D have been associated with rickets in children and lower bone mineral density in adults. Recent research has also linked insufficient vitamin D to cancer, heart disease, infection and poorer health overall. |
